The Youth Basketball League offers the opportunity for youth ages 5-12 to learn individual and team skills in a fun, inclusive, and safe team environment. Participants will be led by a volunteer coach. This program uses a variety of sites across the City of Durham. Participants must be prepared to practice any night of the week. Games are held primarily on Saturdays, with some weeknight games potentially being included. Registration will take place September 1-Oct. 2, 2026. Come on out and hoop it up in the Bull City! Teams will play on Monday and Wednesday evenings at either 6:30pm, 7:30pm, and 8:30pm. You may play 2 games in a week but never 2 games in one evening. The season will be played at I.R. Holmes, Sr. Recreation Center at Campus Hills Park. This "co-ed" (there are no gender requirements/restrictions during game play) league is for players that are 18 and up. The registration fee is $475 per team plus $12 for each non-city of Durham resident. Teams must provide their own jerseys/t-shirts that are the same color with numbers affixed on the back. Teams are encouraged to dress in fun holiday attire to compete. Prizes for best costumes as well as medals for the top three teams will be awarded.
