 s Tabling Event
DESCRIPTION:Stop by the lobby area at the Main Library to learn from Edib
 le Atlas about an innovative new research project in the community. \n\n
 The project “Wastewater-Based Epidemiology for Community-Level Dietary A
 ssessment” is currently underway in Durham\, led by a team of researcher
  from Duke in partnership with the City of Durham. The project uses a no
 vel approach to measure leftover food DNA in wastewater samples to bette
 r understand neighborhood-level dietary patterns across Durham\, with po
 tential for future expansion beyond the city. The team is also examining
  how neighborhood food environments\, reflected through wastewater-based
  dietary patterns\, relate to health outcomes. Ultimately\, the project 
 aims to support local health programs\, food access efforts\, and broade
 r understanding of the relationship between nutrition and wellness.\n\nR
 esearchers will be present to share about this project\, answer question
 s about how food DNA is extracted from wastewater\, and provide an oppor
 tunity for community comments on what should be done with this data.\n\n
 Saturday August 15th starting at 10 a.m. in the lobby of the Durham Coun
 ty Main Library located at 300 North Roxboro Street.   \n\nParking is av
 ailable in the library lot or at the North Queen Street Garage which is 
 locate at 115 North Queen Street which is located directly across the st
 reet from the library. Parking is free in the garage. Bring your parking
