Exploring Summer Light in the Garden!

Join Jeanine Brandi of J. Bee Studios to learn how to make the most of these long, light filled summer days! Learn how to take beautiful photographs that capture your garden and all of its abundance! You will learn to use whatever equipment you have to document your garden or other places that inspire you. Jeanine will present photographs from different gardens she has documented through the years as examples. You will learn practical ways to improve your photo skills to savor the seasons and capture these moments before they pass!

Jeanine Brandi is the founder of J.Bee Studios- specializing in landscape design, photography, and flowers. She has a Bachelor of Science in Photography from Syracuse University and worked in the photography field for many years before returning to school for Landscape Architecture. She received a master's degree in Landscape Architecture from Rhode Island School of Design. She enjoys creating and documenting landscapes to live in, focused on interaction, sustainability and stewardship.

Saturday July 25th starting at 2 pm in the auditorium at the Durham County Main Library located at 300 North Roxboro Street.

Parking is available in the library lot or at the North Queen Street Garage which is locate at 115 North Queen Street which is located directly across the street from the library. Parking is free in the garage. Bring your parking ticket to a library service point for validation.

Voyager @ Books, Babies, & Brews

Join us for a Baby Storytime led by Franklin County Library, sensory exploration & coffee with Franklin County Parks and Recreation, and health education & resources provided by FCHD RIMC Program! This event is rain or shine, every Friday from Sept-Nov at 10:00 a.m., featuring different County Parks each month. It is designed for newborns to cruisers with an in-the-lap 15-minute Storytime and sensory toys appealing to younger babies. Storytime will start a few minutes after 10:00 a.m. and the rest of the hour is for free play, socializing, and taking advantage of the Bookmobile, Voyager! September-Franklinton Park October-Epsom Park November-V.E. and Lydia H. Owens Recreational Park at Bull Creek
