The Durham Book Club reading season is April - July, one book per month. You can learn more about the books on the flyer. Author visits are happening, book activity planning is underway and a primo 2026 T-shirt awaits! All free for the best readers in the world!

Our summer program, DBCreads, is part of a larger initiative of Durham Book Club- our other branches include DBCwrites (we have a blog!) and DBCtalks (we have a podcast!). Durham Book Club is supported by our parent organization, StrongHERTogetHER.

Voyager @ Books, Babies, & Brews

Join us for a Baby Storytime led by Franklin County Library, sensory exploration & coffee with Franklin County Parks and Recreation, and health education & resources provided by FCHD RIMC Program! This event is rain or shine, every Friday from Sept-Nov at 10:00 a.m., featuring different County Parks each month. It is designed for newborns to cruisers with an in-the-lap 15-minute Storytime and sensory toys appealing to younger babies. Storytime will start a few minutes after 10:00 a.m. and the rest of the hour is for free play, socializing, and taking advantage of the Bookmobile, Voyager! September-Franklinton Park October-Epsom Park November-V.E. and Lydia H. Owens Recreational Park at Bull Creek
