About the event

Relax and read with a dog! This program brings dogs and reluctant readers together for 20 minutes of companionship. Handlers and their dogs provide quiet encouragement to children so that they might develop a love of reading and improve communication skills. Canines for Literacy is an affiliate program of Reading Education Assistance Dogs® (R.E.A.D.®).

Registration is required. Please note that you may book one session per day, and sessions are 20 minutes long. Available time slots are as follows: 2:00pm, 2:20 pm, 2:40pm.

If it's less than 24 hrs before the event, give us a call and see if we have any avaialbe time slots left!

Voyager @ Books, Babies, & Brews

Join us for a Baby Storytime led by Franklin County Library, sensory exploration & coffee with Franklin County Parks and Recreation, and health education & resources provided by FCHD RIMC Program! This event is rain or shine, every Friday from Sept-Nov at 10:00 a.m., featuring different County Parks each month. It is designed for newborns to cruisers with an in-the-lap 15-minute Storytime and sensory toys appealing to younger babies. Storytime will start a few minutes after 10:00 a.m. and the rest of the hour is for free play, socializing, and taking advantage of the Bookmobile, Voyager! September-Franklinton Park October-Epsom Park November-V.E. and Lydia H. Owens Recreational Park at Bull Creek
