About the event
Join us for a special story time with author Dr. Brenda K. Williamson, where she’ll be presenting her book: Artena: “What’s Inside of You?”
Dr. Brenda K. Williamson has more than 35 years of experience in the field of education, ranging from serving as a kindergarten teacher to working as an assistant and associate professor. She is the founder of Brenda’s Educational Consultant Services (BECS), which provides professional development training at the local, state, national, and international levels on a wide range of topics.
She is the lead founder of the NCAEYC Equity in Early Childhood Education Circle Sessions, designed to facilitate courageous conversations and promote equitable practices. In 2022, she founded Black Women Educators of NC to inspire, uplift, and support Black women educators through leadership development, networking, and research.
