SUMMARY:Laser Cut Your Own Leather Patch
DESCRIPTION:Join the Maker   STEAM team to use the laser cutter to engrav
 e and cut a small rectangular or square leather patch (good for adding t
 o hats or jackets or bags!) in a small group learning environment with h
 ands-on help! We will use our materials and provide materials for one le
 ather patch (up to 3" x 3" size) per registrant. Come ready with a desig
 n idea\, a .jpg or .png of your design image via cloud storage\, or just
  curiosity and we will have a few templates to choose from as well.\n\nT
 his small-group atmosphere will help introduce you to the laser cutter i
 n a welcoming setting and show you the process of completing a laser cut
  project to help you prepare for when you reserve the laser cutter on yo
 ur own in the future.\n\nRegistration is required. Participants will nee
 d to sign a safety waiver when in the makerspace. (This program is open 
 to teens and adults. Teens under the age of 18 must have a guardian/pare
 nt present to sign the waiver.)\n\nWe also ask that you take the online\
 , self-paced laser cutter orientation prior to coming to the program (if
  you haven't already) so that the orientation setup steps are completed.
