About the event

Join Chris and Mindy Meyers from Home Repair Lab to learn about maintenance fundamentals! This lecture-focused class will help you understand how your home operates, give you knowledge to interact with service providers, and be your own advocate. Relevant for homeowners, first time home buyers, and renters. The first hour will be lecture, followed by Q&A.

More detailed class description:

Maintenance Fundamentals helps you organize and schedule tasks that extend and improve the safety and life of your home. Experience a year in the life of a homeowner using our seasonal maintenance checklist. Each season elements of your home should be inspected to determine the current state of condition, good, repair or replace. We provide specific examples of where to look, what to look for and how to determine condition. Additionally, we detail actions homeowners need to perform to maintain a safe, healthy and comfortable home. All participants receive a copy of our maintenance checklist to keep.

If you have any accessibility questions or accommodation needs, please contact us at Maker_STEAM@dconc.gov. We ask that all requests be made at least 3 business days prior to the event to ensure we can provide the best accommodations possible.
