 te Museum of Natural Sciences\, to learn more about our reptile neighbor
 s! \n\n \n\n\n\nJeff Beane is Herpetology Collection Manager for the Nor
 th Carolina State Museum of Natural Sciences in Raleigh\, where he has b
 een employed since 1985. A native of Asheboro\, he holds a B.S. in Zoolo
 gy from North Carolina State University (1982) and has authored many pop
 ular and scientific natural history publications\, including Amphibians 
 and Reptiles of the Carolinas and Virginia\, 2nd Edition (UNC Press\, 20
 10). His interests include virtually anything pertaining to natural hist
 ory or conservation\, especially Sandhills and Longleaf Pine ecosystem e
 cology and the natural history\, zoogeography\, and conservation of amph
 ibians and reptiles in North Carolina and the Southeast. \n\n \n\nTuesda
 y June 23rd starting at 6 p.m. in the Durham County Main Library auditor
 ium located at 300 North Roxboro Street in Durham.     \n\nThere will be
  no live animals at this event.   \n\nParking is available in the librar
 y parking lot or at the North Queen Street Garage located at 115 North Q
 ueen Street which is behind the apartments directly across the street fr
 om the library. Parking at the garage is free. Please bring your parking
  ticket to a service point for validation.       \n\nRegistration is app
 reciated to receive an email reminder\, cancellation link\, and program 
 updates. Seating is first come first served. Registration does not hold
