About the event

The right to read is under attack in communities across the U.S. in the form of book bans. On Right to Read Day, take the time to protect, defend, and celebrate your freedom to read. a { text-decoration: none; color: #464feb; } tr th, tr td { border: 1px solid #e6e6e6; } tr th { background-color: #f5f5f5; }

Join us for a silent reading event. Feel free to stop by anytime during the program. Bring your own material or check one out when you arrive. Settle in, read in community, and show your support for intellectual freedom.

On April 20, American Library Association will also release its annual State of America’s Libraries Report, including the list of Top Ten Frequently Challenged Books of 2025.

Parking is available in the library parking lot or at the North Queen Street Garage located at 115 North Queen Street which is behind the apartments directly across the street from the library. Parking at the garage is free. Please bring your parking ticket to a service point for validation.
