DESCRIPTION:Join us on Friday\, June 19 at 10:30 a.m. at Historic Oak Vie
 w for a walking tour focused on the history of Juneteenth and how the tr
 ansition from slavery to freedom was experienced by Oak View's enslaved 
 community. Discover stories of how African American families celebrated 
 their liberation and the steps they took to plant seeds of freedom for t
 hemselves and their descendants. After the tour\, participants will be i
 nvited to fold their own wildflower seed packet and reflect on what free
 dom means to them. Free and open to all\, recommended for ages 4th grade
  and up. Registration is required for all participants.\n\nWe will run t
 he program rain or shine\, so please come prepared with weather appropri
 ate clothing. The tour will take place outdoors and in non-climate contr
 olled historic buildings\, and includes standing and walking between bui
