About the event

The Hiking Adventure is for everyone who loves nature and walking outdoors. We go on safe, fun hikes where all abilities are welcome. The program make it easy to enjoy the outdoors, meet friends, and stay active. We will meet at the entrance of the American Tobacco Trail.

Crazy Crayon

Now that the school year has ended, it’s time to give broken crayons a new life. We’ll melt old crayon pieces together to create multi-colored masterpieces in wacky shapes! Crayons will be provided, but feel free to bring any extras if you’d like. Children under the age of 8, please bring an adult to assist. The crayons will need to set over the weekend and can be picked up at I. R. Holmes Sr. Recreation Center the following week (7/27/26 – 7/31/26) during business hours. Ages: All ages,
