DESCRIPTION:Through partnership with USA Swimming Sigma Gamma Rho’s Swim 
 1922 campaign aims to increase swim participation and decrease drowning 
 rates. Provides opportunities for youth and adults within the African Am
 erican community to learn water safety in general and swimming specifica
 lly. With USA swimming\, Sigma Gamma Rho has touched close to 20\,000 li
 ves\, directly\, with the projection of changing multiple generations to
  come.\nThe Beta Pi Sigma Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Incorporat
 ed’s Swim 1922 program sponsorship with DPR will teach the participants 
 how to feel comfortable in the water by learning basic safety skills. Br
 eaking down barriers created by a lack of access and exposure and expand
 ing the knowledge for participants to have a fun & safe time in and arou
