About the event

Comets, Clues, and Our Comic Story

April 29, 2026 at 6pm ET

Learn about the origins of our solar system as you scan online images from space.

Join us in-person to view online images from a NASA observatory and learn how to identify and report comets and other space objects. Each comet you discover offers clues about how planetary systems form and the possible origins of Earth’s water. The NASA-supported project leader will join us via Zoom to describe the research and answer any questions we have as we participate in “Rubin Comet Catchers” together.

Join us and be part of 2.50 Million Acts of Science this April during Citizen Science Month. No experience needed—just curiosity!

Please bring a device (phone, laptop, or tablet) if you can. Limited devices are available.
